The Epicurean Guru
Mario Naar has turned his passion for gourmet products into a thriving business.
Born into a globe-trotting entrepreneurial family, he was exposed to diverse culinary traditions from an early age. After earning a degree in International Business in Boston, he pursued his culinary interests at Le Cordon Bleu, where he discovered a love for hospitality and the “front of house” experience. That passion for entertaining led him to co-found Salvaje, the acclaimed Japanese fusion restaurant now with locations across Latin America, Europe, and the Middle East.
We sat down with Mario to talk about his now-iconic Chevre store and his exciting plans to expand to St. Barths and Palm Beach this year. We’re big fans of his wine nights at the hidden bar La Bibliothèque, and his indulgent menu of caviar, gourmet cheeses, and charcuterie is always a showstopper.
Next week, he’ll debut a new tapas bar, The Sipping Station, at the Brightline terminal in Miami—and soon, his food will also be served in Brightline’s business class. It’s always energizing to spend time with such a passionate workaholic, but watch our full interview to see where Mario unwinds with his wife and children when he’s not creating culinary magic.
