“I like to call myself an observer of behavior. I watch what’s around me, and that is also what inspires my stories. ”Meet Rochelle Weinstein, author of 7 published novels with another coming out in February, a former marketing director turned full time mom turned prolific published author. Her passion started when Rochelle was a kid growing up in heridyllic neighborhood in Miami riding her bike after school to Carvel at the Skylake Mall for soft serve with sprinkles. At night she would sneak under her covers with her mom’s copies of Sidney Sheldons and Danielle Steels, and of course her beloved Judy Blume.

Before her first novel, Rochelle’s dreams of becoming an author were contained within the pages of her journals and diaries she’s kept since childhood. As her story goes, one day during Covid, as her twins were napping, she sat down and wrote 100,000 words. She left her music marketing job, got a year of severance and sat down to write. From there was born her first novel “What We Leave Behind.”
