These spectacular remains of an intricately built home made entirely of oolite limestone were carved and sculpted over 28 years single handedly by one man named Edward Leedskalnin. Barely 5 feet tall and with no machinery or equipment, he moved 1,000 tons of rock with only his hands. The story goes that he was set to marry his one true love, but she left the day before the wedding. Driven by his aching sadness, he built this castle as a testament to his one true love.
