Fountainhead Residency

A MIAMI BASED ARTS RESIDENCY organization founded in 2008 by Kathryn and Dan Mikesell, with over 500 alumni from over 48 countries, the Fountainhead Residency provides a unique opportunity for artists to live and work for a month in Miami immersing themselves in our city’s unique culture. The Mikesells renovated a 1950’s iconic Miami Modernism home, down the street from their own, in the beautiful neighborhood of Morningside, and house artists from around the world, providing them with round trip air fare, living and working accommodations, and an honorarium.  Artists are introduced to curators, collectors, and gallerists through studio visits and personal invitations to private collections and events. Donors have personal access to these artists through intimate events and private on-site presentations of their work and have first-access to purchasing their works of art. Membership to Fountainhead Arts also includes invitations to art trips around the world. In 2022 they traveled to Paris and in April 2023 they will visit Buenos Aires.
